From the WGC website:

The Wilderness Guides Council vision holds that wilderness has great healing and inspirational qualities.
The Council embraces this vision in promoting the health of wilderness ecosystems and their spiritual values as places where modern vision questing and rites of passage may take place.
The Wilderness Guides Council is also committed to reintroducing meaningful rites of passage to modern culture and thereby helping to create and maintain a sustainable society.

Tree of Peace Society
Over a thousand years ago, the Peacemaker and Aiionwatha (Hiawatha) brought the Great Law of Peace (Kaianerekowa) to the warring Indian nations of what is now New York State. The message of Peace, Power, and the Good Mind resulted in the forming of the Haudenosaunee Iroquis Confederacy. The league of nations consisted of the Mohawk, Oneida, Onondaga, Cayuga, and Seneca, and later the Tuscarora. These nations were instructed to bury their weapons of war under the Great Tree of Peace, and to unite as one to uphold the Great Law of Peace by joining ‘arms’ so that the Tree of Peace would never fail.
Planting Trees of Peace – in his educational efforts, Chief Jake Swamp started to plant trees of peace ceremonially in 1984. The Tree Planting Ceremony that Jake shares is an effort to bring awareness to environmental and social concerns.
As an organization based on the principles of universal peace, the Tree of Peace Society emphasizes individual responsibility for one’s actions, a deep personal relationship with the natural world, and the acknowledgement that all living things are blessings from the creator to be treated with sensitivity and respect.

Animal Dreaming
As an indigo myself, I have been able to see animal spirits since a very early age (not ‘dead’ pets, but the inherent power of the animals that walk with us: the power that was once incorporated into tribal lore and labeled as ‘totem’ energy). Although born in Australia, my understanding of the animals is not limited to just our culture or land. I seem to have an inherent understanding of all animals.
